Envy looked around, her cello case on her back. There weren't many people around, and she was shaky. But she needed to practice, and the jade fountain was her favorite spot. She could sit there and practice quietly, or loudly, if the song needed it. She sat down on one area of the fountain where there weren't many others, and took out her cello. It was her own cello; that was one of the first things Envy got when she got a job. It was quite beautiful, with a dark stained spruce for the top, and a matching stained Birdseye maple for the sides and back. The tail piece was made of a darkly stained rosewood, and so were the pegs. The bridge was, of course, maple, and everything was finely crafted. Her bow was made of rosewood, too, and everything went nicely together. Envy set everything up, took out her music, and started to play. A gentle melody rang through the air as she warmed up, then Envy moved onto one of her favorites to play. It was Bach's Fifth Suite for Unaccompanied Cello- Gavotte. Envy played it beautifully, and it sounded like she was the one who had written it. ((If you've never heard it, then listen here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIFwd74MV2E ))
